Date of Qualification: 1 July 2015 (Level 2 Senior Caseworker) Immigration Patrick Howe joined Howe + Co on in February 2014 as a paralegal. Patrick started dealing with different matters and gaining experience until he obtained the Level 2 Senior Caseworker Accreditation in July 2015. Since then Patrick has been dealing with asylum claims but predominantly deals with Gurkha cases. Patrick moved to the Gurkha Department in August 2016. He has been heavily involved in the majority of the applications and appeal cases that are currently being dealt with regarding Gurkhas. Patrick has dealt with high profile asylum cases and Gurkha cases alike.
Cases Asylum – Patrick has dealt with a number of high profile cases. One being an Afghan Artist who was granted asylum. The case was reported in the Guardian twice and is a prime example of the work Patrick takes on. Gurkhas – Patrick has dealt with countless Gurkha cases including adult dependants of Gurkha veterans and dependants of a widow of an ex Gurkha. Patrick has taken these cases to the First-tier Tribunal and all the way to the Court of Appeal. Private Immigration – Patrick also deals with general private immigration, ranging anywhere from spousal visas to EEA family members.
