Slips and trips
If you suffer a fall on a public highway or on private premises, we can assist you in pursuing a claim for compensation.
Under the Highways Act 1980 you can succeed against the Highway Authority if it can be shown that it was in a dangerous condition; that danger arose as a result of the authority’s failure to maintain or repair the highway and you have suffered injury and damage as a result of that failure. You can also pursue private owners under negligence and the Occupiers Liability Act. Claims can be brought against your landlord for failure to comply with duties set out in legislation and under negligence. Contact us if you would like to discuss a possible claim and we can tell you what we think your prospects of success are. |
